Why I Do This Work
I built Cedar & Iron because I’ve seen how easily older adults lose dignity when support becomes rushed, institutional, or well-intentioned but impersonal. Families mean well, but distance and busy lives make it hard to see what’s really happening. I wanted to create something steady, personal, and accountable—support that feels human, not clinical.
Who You’re Working With
When you work with Cedar & Iron, you work directly with me. I don’t rotate staff or send substitutes. I show up consistently so context builds over time and nothing important gets lost. This work depends on trust, and trust requires continuity.
How I Approach Advocacy
My role is to notice, listen, and act with restraint. I don’t take over people’s lives or make decisions for them. I help older adults stay in control and help families stay informed, without drama or urgency. Small things addressed early keep life steady.
What I Believe Matters
Dignity comes first. Independence should be protected, not managed away. Consistency builds trust. Families function better when communication is clear and calm. Presence matters more than promises.
What You Can Expect From Me
Discretion. Reliability. Clear communication. A steady presence in the home and a responsible voice for the family. No pressure. No noise. Just thoughtful advocacy.
